Project Description::
This large new gallery fit-out houses a new exhibition that examines the relationship between water activities, leisure and the Australian lifestyle. The design included the installation of eight watercraft, from an around-the-world yacht to a backyard canoe. A wide range of ancillary objects, graphics and multi-media displays were incorporated, with specialised display lighting and sound. Purpose-designed showcases and media boxes house specific exhibits. The work was undertaken following intensive consultation with Museum curators and conservation specialists.
